Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to visit our website.

James Callander & Son Ltd (in Administration) is an independent family run business that was incorporated in the town of Falkirk, in 1946.

The business has evolved over the years from being a traditional box maker in the beginning supplying local Foundries, to as it is today, a primary producer of UK softwood.
Logs (mainly Sitka Spruce) are sourced exclusively from Scottish well managed, sustainable forests.

We are a Forest Stewardship Council ® accredited company.

In addition to our Falkirk operation, we also have a 32 acre site at Devilla in Fife, where all our logs go direct from the Forest for diameter and length sorting. We distribute our products across the UK, and our principal markets are:

  • Construction (via Timber Importers/Merchants & Builders Merchants)
  • Packaging/Pallets sector
  • Fencing stockists

We enjoy an envied reputation for quality, which is backed up by a reliable and efficient delivery service to our Customers. We find that good clear communication is always the best policy, and our Customers always appreciate that.

Why not give us a call?

The timber we produce is sawn exclusively from Scottish forests. Much of it harvested by our own forestry operations.
